There is a war going on! A war that affects all our lives and later will affect our souls. You won’t hear about this war on mainstream television news or print. You aren’t likely to hear about it from family members. This war was crafted with such genius, that you may not even be aware of what’s going on yourself?
This is a war on culture, values, reverence, and humility; the building blocks of religion itself. This one thing is critical to the Catholic faith, and even every Christian around the world. It is the life’s blood of the sanctified church. Take it away and the Catholic church and Christianity become another relic the Vatican will store in its vast underground vaults.
I am speaking of course of the Latin Mass. More importantly, why does it matter to us. If it doesn’t, it should! Continue reading to see why Christians of all denominations need to understand the significance of the Latin Mass. Our religion depends upon if we fight to keep this miraculous institution as the corner stone of our faith.
HOW WE GOT TO THE CURRENT STATE OF DISGRACE
Assuming you were born prior to 1964 and Catholic, you would have been part of the Latin Mass. Looking at the Latin Mass from a broad perspective, it was surrounded in mystery. It was as if we were plopped down in the middle of an ancient alien (foreign) culture. You didn’t know the culture, traditions, and certainly you didn’t know the language.
The Latin Mass is first practiced in 1570 under Pope Pius V on July 14th. Father Uwe Micheal Lang (2022). The “Ordinary of Mass” (Ordinarium Missae) is a sacred ceremony rich with symbolism, ritual practices, and spiritual connection. The mass is said entirely in Latin conducted by the priest and supported by lower ranked priests and altar boys. Little has changed from the Mass’s early days.
The priest still enters in silence reciting Latin prayers asking God to forgive his sins and cleanse his soul. (known as the Act of Contrition). This allows the priest to say Mass. Then the lower ranked priests and altar boys do an Act of Contrition. A complex and lengthy set of prayers are performed along with sacred rituals that represent the mysteries of Jesus’s time on earth. Father Uwe Micheal Lang (2022).
That is the Mass, in a nutshell. However, it is so much more than that; deeper and meaningful. Along with the cultural shift of the 1960’s the Catholic Church also decided to “keep in step” with the times. The Church was experiencing a drop in members, i.e. donations that the system required to operate.
The reigning Pontif Pope Paul VI created a cabinet of Archbishops and Cardinals to modernize the church and bring it into the current century. After many revisions and many Cardinals’ resigning or asking to step down from their position, one man was left to confide with Pope Paul VI. Yves Chiron (2021).
That man was Archbishop Bugnini; his task was to run an election to see if they had enough votes to pass the new Mass. In 1967, Pope Paul VI was informed by Bugnini that they had the required two-thirds majority to move ahead. That wasn’t the case however, but since Bugnini was given authority by Pope Paul VI…no one could confront him on the obvious speculation of his contrived conclusions. Yves Chiron (2021).
CHANGING THE MASS, CHANGING GOD’S PATH TO HEAVEN
We have had 5 Popes reign since Pope Paul the VI; Pope Leo XIV currently the Holy See Leader. Chronological List Of Popes Through The Centuries From St. Peter To Present (2025).
With each new papacy, changes to the Latin Mass were written up and spoon fed to more than 1.4 billion followers. Worldwide Catholic population hits 1.4 billion (2025). Sometimes whole sections of the liturgical were rewritten or all together written out. Fewer signs of the cross, fewer genuflections meant a shift away from God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
Piece by piece, systematically the Vatican is changing the essence of the Catholic Religion and replacing it with a generic virtual faith. Parishioners were brought in to celebrate the Mass even though they were breaking moral codes and laws of the Catholic Church.
This was done by allowing lay people (with emphasis on women) to enter the Sacred Tabernacle, touch and distribute the Holy Sacred Host. Moreover, those who didn’t receive the Blessed Sacraments could participate in the most sacred part of the Mass, even though they hadn’t professed vows to honor and obey God’s laws.
When we make changes to the Mass to fit the times we are in, it only places us further from God and further from the path to heaven. Changing the Mass changes God’s law to man’s law. God’s law works in our world as well as in his. However, it’s impossible to enter his heaven kingdom under man’s law; it’s not recognized outside of our earthly realm.
LATIN MASS SPEAKS TO EACH ONE OF US
Latin Mass was said mostly in the Latin language till 1964 when the Novum Ordo was introduced in the Church. You could be anywhere in the world and attend Mass; it would be performed succinctly in each and every parish. Yves Chiron (2021).
The effect creates strong bonds of the faithful to the Church. A sense of unity; understanding we are shepherds meant to foster and protect God’s love. Latin is one of the oldest formed languages spoken universally. Using it shows us the relevance of the Mass throughout the ages.
I moved to Atlanta Ga, 18 years ago for a position as a financial/ billing manager for several medical practices in the Chastain Area. It was there I met a woman whom I became instant friends with on day one. Eventually religion was brought up, Proudly, she professed her faith as Southern Baptist. I equally replied to my faith as Roman Catholic.
Without missing a beat, she said… (paraphrasing) I could never be Catholic! all you guys do is sit down then get up, then sit down again, then back up again on your feet, and then you kneel. This routine goes on the entire time while at church!? It’s not church!… It’s aerobics!
I laughed it off as I genuinely thought it was clever. I have a healthy sense of humor just like the next guy. I didn’t take it personally as I knew she wasn’t a mean-spirited person. Deep down, I thought about it and realized she felt that way because of her experience at Mass.
The routine of practicing and participating in Latin Mass isn’t common to most people. Although its celebration has been recognized for over six centuries, many will go through life never experiencing it. I need to explain what the Latin Mass truly represents and our role in it You probably were never told this by your parents, nuns, or priests.
The Mass is the unbloody renewal of the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. Catholic Crusader Films (2024). Let’s take a moment and reflect upon that statement. Look deeper, you slowly begin to understand the majesty, beauty, and awesome power it possesses. Can you finally understand why Latin Mass is so special? Why the Church is on the verge of a worldwide schism at the mere thought of erasing the Latin Mass from our culture and rich history?
Each time we Catholics participate in Mass we are starting at the point which we are at the feet of Jesus and looking up at him dying on the cross. Catholic Crusader Films (2024).
Can you see now what a heretical, disrespectful thing the Novum Ordo of 1964 was to the sanctified Mass? The celebrants of the centuries old Mass went from men that devoted their life following Jesus to schoolteachers, lawyers, women, and bankers. Many people weren’t practicing Catholic laws and morals, nor Catholic at all?
Can you see that we as human beings should be reverent, solemn, humble, and void of hate when we attend Mass? Without noticing, the once magisterial tradition turned into a mundane, perverted circus. We used to make the mass a special affair and dress up, and create traditions that were only done on days of the High Holy Mass.
We used to look forward to Mass because each time we left Mass we felt a stronger deeper understanding of God and a peaceful calm fueled by love. It speaks of God’s love to anyone listening. Non-Catholics alike could take something of value from each celebration. While the Mass was open to all people participating, not just anyone could join?
You were raised from a child knowing each life stage correlated to a Sacrament that you must master and build upon for the next coming Sacrament. The Sacraments went all the way through your life to your death. Reaching heaven meant that your body transformed from a physical being into a spiritual being. The body becomes the soul; preparing you for your new journey to be humble, and loving, as you are becoming closer to the Holy Trinity.
EASY TO BE LED ASTRAY FROM HEAVEN’S PATH, EASY TO ARIGHT
The revolution to destroy the Mass and make it unrecognizable was deliberate and cunning. They begin to change benign social norms and the traditions that were seemingly not critical and imperative to the church’s foundation.
Then a societal shift was propagated that emphasized the “me” movement. Telling you that you are just as special as the next person. No one had superior qualities over another? You were taught that God wasn’t our superior but our equal?
The uniqueness and individuality that God gave each and every one of us was to be sacrificed to overcome the differences of the world. Slogans that told us, “I’m just as important as you are?” and eventually “I’m just as important as God”
The Curia of the Vatican started to dismantle the Holy Scriptures to be inclusive and made no clear demonstrative stance as to God’s laws, morals, and love…the inevitable happened. If the Vatican didn’t speak out, it must be okay. It’s one thing when man states his authority over God’s law, it’s something far more dangerous when the clergy follow suit.
I feel that obedience is the life blood to our faith. The church depends upon it to foster, grow, and strengthen us. So, when a request from the Pope; endorsed by the Holy See is handed down, we rightfully obey. This is the cunning snare that was deliberately crafted to make followers turn away from God.
Your soul is in great jeopardy when you hear statements that all religions are valid. They should be recognized and allowed to flourish (even when a religion was founded upon sacrificing children to satisfy its Ruler/God). Or how about when you hear women should be able to participate in the Mass as ordained clergy? At first it seems morally right, until you realize this action would wipe out our faith, not to mention our population.
But there is a way to get back on God’s path. It’s so easy; its right in front of you! No matter how long you’ve been away from God, no matter what sins you did, you can find your way to the path that leads to God. It requires that you are sincere and humble; asking for God’s love. It’s that easy.
This ideology is embedded in each and every Catholic Latin Mass. The world is full of danger, evil, and people that are led astray from God. All you need to do is to ask him and he will forgive and let you in…but only if you let him in.
The Latin Mass is an awesome tool that keeps the followers faithful, loyal, and dedicated to obtaining God’s kingdom.
Mass gives you the ability to face adversities on earth with knowledge of what’s on the other side. The Mass prepares you for the transfiguration; what your body in the physical world endures before it transforms into your soul and the spiritual world.
The Latin Mass is a template on how you should conduct yourself on earth before you enter God’s kingdom. It has guideposts that help you when you are uncertain or confused. God literally wrote it down for you, step by step on how to get to heaven.
When parts of the Mass are altered, you must understand that the sole purpose isn’t to attract more faithful followers but turn them away. Without the Mass, even the most pious, loyal followers can then be easily led to believe in man’s law and not God’s.
I recommend that you attend a Latin Mass and become familiar with it. Make it the only Mass you attend, fore it is the true Mass. It will lead you with clear instructions to God’s everlasting kingdom. You shouldn’t follow a false religion made up of man’s law, law that is changed or altered due to the current customs of the day.
The Latin Mass is made up of God’s laws, and those laws are perfect, just and everlasting. They remain a constant force in nature and beyond. The Latin Mass is a beacon that shines brightly for you to see; showing the way. YOU MUST FOLLOW IT, IF YOU DON’T YOUR SOUL WILL FOREVER BE LOST.
